The first reference below (tv:) is now RFC 2838. However, it only provides
the syntax to support this, not the infrastructure and RA.
I am told that IANA declined the author's request to be that RA. So, I am
leading an effort to propose this to SMPTE this week, who is the RA for
other TV-related things, including MPEG stream_type's, etc. So, it fits in
that organization anyway.
If this list is interested, I will keep it posted on this effort.
