This is the (delayed) last call announcement for:

XHTML Basic

	http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml-basic/

Abstract

The XHTML Basic document type is a subset of XHTML 1.1. It includes
the minimal set of modules required to be an XHTML Family document
type, and in addition it includes images, forms, and basic tables.
It is designed for Web clients that do not support the full set of
XHTML features; for example, Web clients such as mobile phones,
PDAs, pagers, and settop boxes. The document type is rich enough
for content authoring, and is implemented using XHTML modules as
defined by XHTML Modularization.

The end date for this last call is 15th March 2000.

Comments may be sent to www-html-editor@w3.org, and the archive can
be found at: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/www-html-editor/
