Just to chime in here: indeed, I do not know of any XML Schema for RDF/XML with any formal standing. 

The DTD in [1] was prepared for the deprecated, 1999 version of RDF/XML: it contains attributes that were dropped from the current, 2004 version (eg, bagID, aboutEach, ...) and it does not contain references to attributes that have been added in 2004 (eg, datatype, first, rest). Ie, [1] is also deprecated. To the best of my knowledge, [1] has never been updated to the 2004 version of RDF/XML.
