Henry, I renamed this thread because I didn't, from the original subject line, understand that the underlying document was called an "Introduction to URIs". I finally got a chance to read it, and I found it a wonderful resource for explaining URIs -- one I would like to cite (informatively) in the XRI 3.0 specification because it such a readable and well-illustrated introduction.
