For the benefit of those not on the TAG, let me give a little context for Dave's note. The submissions to the workshop are due by tomorrow. On the TAG teleconference just completed, we agreed that Dave would send a list of technologies that he thought should get a mention as potentially helping to improve the integration of Web Services with the Web. I will make the necessary changes before publishing. I will also on a best effort basis try to move the mention of Web Description languages (WADL, WSDL 2.0 HTTP support) to a somewhat more prominent position, and also fix the typos and RFC date problems already noted. Modulo those changes, the TAG has resolved that I should submit the paper to the workshop, and I will do so either later today or early tomorrow. Thank you. -------------------------------------- Noah Mendelsohn IBM Corporation One Rogers Street Cambridge, MA 02142 1-617-693-4036 -------------------------------------- "David Orchard" <dorchard@bea.com> 01/09/2007 01:57 PM To: <noah_mendelsohn@us.ibm.com>, <www-tag@w3.org> cc: Subject: RE: Draft of TAG Submission to W3C Workshop on Web of Services for Enterprise Computing There should be a bit more discussion on other solutions than soap-response. This includes mapping RPC to URI and including mapping Ref Params(Qnames) to URIs. Some examples: 1. SOAP to URI mapping: http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/doc/ws-uri.html 2. Sam Ruby's WS-HTTP: http://www.intertwingly.net/blog/2004/10/21/WS-HTTP 3. WS-REST: http://www.pacificspirit.com/blog/2005/03/01/wsrest_continued_do_we_need _an_http_transfer_soap_binding_and_simplified_wsdl 4. Binding Qnames to URIs: http://www.pacificspirit.com/blog/2004/04/29/binding_qnames_to_uris Cheers, Dave > -----Original Message----- > From: www-tag-request@w3.org [mailto:www-tag-request@w3.org] > On Behalf Of noah_mendelsohn@us.ibm.com > Sent: Thursday, January 04, 2007 8:13 AM > To: www-tag@w3.org > Subject: Draft of TAG Submission to W3C Workshop on Web of > Services for Enterprise Computing > > The TAG resolved at it's F2F in early December that I would > apply to represent the TAG at the upcoming W3C Workshop on > Web of Services for Enterprise Computing.
