No, I mean "REQUIRED." The shorter path component offers more
opportunities for name conflict. There may be ways to optimize the
approval process and I suggest that we try to do so once we have a
little experience with this.

The reason for the change is the introduction of www.w3.org/ns which was
not in the option in the past. Indeed, it had been suggested some time
back but didn't gain traction back then.
