I want to acknowledge the many thoughtful and in some cases constructively critical comments that several of you have sent on this thread regarding the scheme protocols draft. The purpose of this note is merely to tell you that I have indeed taken careful note of all of them, and further to tell you that in our recent F2F meeting other TAG members expressed concerns that I think point in the same direction as the comments from Larry and others. FYI: the status of this effort is that the current draft is clearly not close to right, but the TAG has decided that it is indeed worth the effort to attempt another. In the meantime I picked up one or two smaller TAG assignments, and in general want to think about the responses I've gotten before trying again. So, I've indicated to the TAG that I will be working on schemeProtocols-49 in January, but there is no news to report in the meantime. In any case, your input has been logged and will be carefully reviewed before I attempt any redraft. So, it hasn't been lost, and is indeed much appreciated. Thank you.
