Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
Chairs,

The Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) Working Group [1] charter [2] has
been extended until 30 November 2018.

SVG is an important and widely-used part of the Open Web Platform. The
SVG Working Group is currently focused on aligning the SVG 2.0
specification with browser implementations. The group recently split the
specification into a currently-implemented 2.0 and a forward-looking 2.1.

This extension is to allow the Working Group to publish an updated
Candidate Recommendation of SVG 2.0 and to improve the SVG 2.0 test
suite on Web Platform Tests.

Provided this is successful, we also expect to bring a new charter to
the Advisory Committee before TPAC.

This is also to inform you that Bogdan Brinza has stepped down from his
role as Chair after he left Microsoft last month. Dirk Schulze (Adobe)
is appointed as Chair of the Working Group. Chris Lilley will be Staff
Contact. We thank Bogdan for his contribution.

Information on how to participate in this group is available [3].

If you should have any questions or need further information, please
contact Chris Lilley <chris@w3.org>, Working Group Staff Contact.

This announcement follows section 5.1 and section 5.2.5 of the W3C
Process Document:
