Hi, folks– I reviewed this test with the SVG WG [1]. We did not find any errors in the test. However, this test doesn't really test SVG per se; it treats SVG as a single "black box", like an <img> element in HTML, and doesn't really address SVG elements. It's more of an HTML test (in fact, it runs the tests on the container <div>. So, it's a fine test for SVG in HTML, but more (and different) tests would be needed to truly test pointer events in SVG.
