Hello, just my observation: http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/REC-SVG11-20030114/painting.html#MarkerProperties 11.6.3: " 'marker-start' defines the arrowhead or polymarker that shall be drawn at the first vertex of the given 'path' element or basic shape. 'marker-end' defines the arrowhead or polymarker that shall be drawn at the final vertex. " This talks only about paths, not about subpaths. The number of subpaths does not matter. Therefore there is at most one 'marker-start' and one 'marker-end' for a complete path or shape to be drawn. Olaf
