Hello www-svg, I think, the font chapter of SVG tiny 1.2 contains some wrong/dead links. For example the section "17.8.2 The 'font-face' element" contains several links intended to refer to the CSS2.0 rule @font-face and some other related features. However the links go to http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/fonts.html#font-descriptions http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/fonts.html#descdef-baseline http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/fonts.html#descdef-mathline http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/fonts.html#descdef-src http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/fonts.html#descdef-unicode-range http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/fonts.html#descdef-units-per-em http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/fonts.html#descdef-panose-1 http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/fonts.html#descdef-stemv http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/fonts.html#descdef-stemh http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/fonts.html#descdef-slope http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/fonts.html#descdef-cap-height http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/fonts.html#descdef-x-height etc Obviously the content of this URI was changed (the CSS2.0 Recommendation was obviously replaced by the current CSS2.1 CR). Unfortunately the document now available under this URI does not provide any information about @font-face etc anymore. Because the definition of elements and attributes explicitly depend on the referenced definitions, they are theoretically currently undefined. I think, such links should go to http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/REC-CSS2-20080411/fonts.html#font-descriptions etc and related places within the CSS2.0 recommendation. Or the CSS2.1 CR document found now under this URI should be changed back to the previous content ;o) Best wishes Olaf
