The following conformance criteria in section 1.6: property A parameter that helps specify how a document should be rendered. ...seems extremely vague. It is very unclear what thue requirement actually is. It is also unclear why this is a SHOULD rather than a MUST. My guess is that this was not intended to be a conformance requirement, in which case I would strongly recommend either marking the section as non-normative (as per an earlier comment) or using a word other than "should" here (since "should" is defined in section D.2 as meaning "there may exist valid reasons in particular circumstances to ignore a particular item, but the full implications must be understood and carefully weighed before choosing a different course". -- Ian Hickson U+1047E )\._.,--....,'``. fL http://ln.hixie.ch/ U+263A /, _.. \ _\ ;`._ ,.
