Dear Scalable Vector Graphics Working Group, http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/WD-SVG12-20041027/animation.html refers to a SVGMediaElement interface for which there is no definition. It is thus very unclear how the SVG 1.2 SVGAnimationElement interface interacts with the SVG 1.1 SVGAnimationElement interface, it is in fact not clear whether these are compatible at all. This could suggest that it's unwise to call the animation element animation element as animation elements differ from animation elements...
