Since sXBL will eventually become XBL with the SVG part as profile from
that specification I think that a selector profile (using CSS) might
make more sense. Some UAs might not want to implement such a complex
selecting language into their browser, especially if this will be used
on smaller devices, like PDAs or mobile phones.

XBL could probably be used, eventually, together with XHTML and CSS and
some basic DOM methods on smaller devices. If such a device already has
CSS support to style the markup, it would be redundant to have a
complete XPath specification just for XBL.
