First we let the w3c get the damed thing out the door, and we will sort out any of the missing bits later. SVG 1.2 is holding up tons of commercial development, and I can not see any reason why this should continue any longer than absolutely necessary. As fas as missing SVG-1.2 compliance by 1 or 2% goes, I can't say that I am entirely bothered by that prospect. My take is the old engineering standby: "Better is the enemy of good enough".
