One scenario would be the concept of Picture in Picture. Where I have an animation in one area of the screen, and another in the background. Based on user input, It would be nice to swap the animations, i.e. target another region. It might also be nice to re-position the smaller region, to location within the larger region. I would be able to define elements with relative coordinates, i.e. percentages, to accomodate the region location and size differences. I may be able to establish a group and move the whole group, but I can't specify the layout relative to other regions. Or can I? I don't know that viewports allow for such behavior. This behavior seems simple, modeled in SMIL. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: Robin Berjon [mailto:robin.berjon@expway.fr] Sent: Friday, July 09, 2004 10:04 AM To: James Bentley Cc: 'www-svg@w3.org' Subject: Re: SMIL James Bentley wrote: > In the 1.1 spec I only see reference to animation, systemLanguage and > switch. Here is a good place, and the spec ought to be updated in the close future. -- Robin Berjon
