Re: Animated Gif with SVG

gif is a patented non-supported format within SVG. SVG only officially supports
jpeg and png raster images. While Adobe SVG viewer supports static SVG, this is
non-standard and not supported by other SVG viewers and not part of the SVG
specification.

I don't know your exact problem, but most animated gifs are very simple and can
easily be converted to SVG+SMIL in a texteditor.

As to my knowledge there is no automatic animated gif to animated svg
product/project available. However, there are vectorization tools available that
can convert raster to vector data.

Are you talking about converting just one or two animated gifs to svg or a whole
bunch of them?
