Hi; in the article "XSLT 1.1 Cancelled, Working Group moving directly to 2.0" at http://www.xmlhack.com/read.php?item=1163 Leigh Dodds writes: " Adler also explained that the Working Group are working closely with the Schemas, Query and XForms groups. The discussions include a possible subset of XPath suitable for use in XQuery and XForms." A while ago I expressed the neeed for XPath-support in SVG-implementations, and the incorporation of Xpath into SVG. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-svg/2000Nov/0045.html If this should be done with a subset, now may be the time to cooperate with the XPath/XSLT-working-groups. XPath and XPointer in SVG2 could allow for external animation-sheets, and a load of other exciting possibilities.
