Every format gets eventually a common "word" which makes it easier to say. For instance: jpeg - jay-peg gif - giff (guh-iff, not juh-iff) etc. etc. It would be interesting to see what SVG becomes. My personal favorite right now is "Savage" As in: "could you send me those Savage files?" or "Did you download the Savage Player?"
