This is the whole point: we are NOT only talking about CSS3-color, we 
are talking about CSS3. When we use CSS in SMIL, adherence to CSS2 is a 
conformance requirement, for profiles, documents and user agents.

I really don't want to change this one attribute at a time.

The offer to integrate the feature in Ambulant is kind, but the 
implementation is a bit more complex that a simple patch for all of our 
media rendering components.

The issue now is:
- do you feel strongly enough about css3-color to pose it as a blocking 
issue for SMIL 3.0. If so, please let our staff contact (Thierry Michel) 
know this week so that we can include you concerns in the transition 
call with the director.
