graphics in Smil 3.0

Hi everyone,
    I noticed that in Smil 3.0 spec there is nothing about integration of svg graphical primitives (box, polygon...) into smil code...
    It would be a good enhancement to include in SMIL, the support to made up mixing of video/image objects and 2D primitives (this is possible in MPEG-4 XMT-A), the <brush> is it not too much...
