Hi, We work on a project using smil for large presentations. Our problem is, as soon as the file is too large (see file attached), this one spends approximately 25s to play in realOne. We cannot define where is the problem : the number of area, the elements number in the sequence or other criteria, which causes this deceleration. We tried to function with excl but the problem is the same one. We wished to put a light sequence beginning before a large one with a prefetch but obviously, RealOne does not manage the prefetch. Has anybody an idea to optimize fluid visualization from a file of this size or, but am I too optimistic?, would anybody from Real Corp. agree to work with us for optimizing the reading of large smil files on RealOne... what would allow SMIL really become the standard of multimedia on the Web ! I am taking of any information, links or assistance on reading of large smil files optimisation. Thank you in advance Best regards Vincent -- Vincent Kober vincent.kober@inrialpes.fr INRIA - service Relations Extérieures Valorisation ZIRST - 655 avenue de l'Europe - Montbonnot F-38334 ST ISMIER CEDEX TEL: 04 76 61 52 38 FAX: 04 76 61 52 06 Projet Création du Portail du Réseau des MSH : http://www.msh-reseau.prd.fr/ MSH Alpes - 1221, avenue Centrale - Domaine Universitaire UPMF- BP 47 - 38040 Grenoble Cedex 9 TEL: 04 76 82 73 25 FAX: 04 76 82 73 01
