Thanks, but no thanks. I complain that the Mini I'd like to drive is lacking a speedometer and you offer me a full-size trailer that happens to come with one. I'm afraid this is doing nothing to improve my opinion of SMIL, as you seem set on denying that any problem exists, or that it's been ameliorated using options I find fantastic overkill. Recommending IE repeatedly, when it's barely standard to start with and its further development has been terminated, is the icing on the cake. How about we drop this - you're not convincing me, and I'm no longer convinced there's any point whatsoever in attempting to convince you. I clearly should have raised these issues back in 1997, when there was half a chance of fixing them.
