MMM2001 - The 8th International Conference on Multimedia Modeling

Call for Papers
CWI, The Dutch National Center for Mathematics and Computer Science, is
pleased to announce The Eight International Conference on Multimedia
Modeling (MMM2001), to be held on November 5th though 7th in Amsterdam,
the
Netherlands. MMM2001 will continue the MMM series' exploration of models
and
abstractions for multimedia creation, representation, storage, delivery,
processing, presentation and final interface. This year's foci will be
on
authoring and creation, standards, intelligent delivery and
presentation,
and the recent (re-)introduction in the field of semantic models for
multimedia and for the Web.
Topics and Areas
Scientific and technical papers are solicited in the following areas
related
to multimedia modeling technologies and applications (but are not
limited
to). Submitted papers will be reviewed by an international program
committee.

Submissions due: 20 May, 2001
Notice of Acceptance: 10 July, 2001
Camera-ready Paper due: 20 August, 2001

Instructions for Authors
Authors are invited to submit full papers of about 6,000 words. All
figures and drawings should be included with the submissions. Paper
must be set in 12-point type and formatted in one column conference
style that do not exceed 6000 words in length (about 13 normal size
pages) including all figures, tables and references. All papers should
have a cover page containing the following:
* title
* information for each author
o name
o address
o phone number
o fax number
o e-mail address
* abstract of up to 150 words
* keyword lists
* CFP topics and areas the paper fits under
PDF and Postscript versions of the submissions can be sent to

Call for Tutorials
The first day of MMM 2001 will be devoted to tutorials. These
tutorials will be given by recognized experts covering issues related
to the modeling and design of multimedia systems. Potential speakers
are invited to send proposals for presentations covering any of the
emerging hot topics relevant to the conference. A non-exhaustive
suggested list of topics and areas in the scope of MMM 2001 is listed
in the MMM 2001 Call for Papers.
