<Looks like an earlier message that I sent last week to this list was lost, my apologies if you get this twice> You can now experiment with, learn, and create SMIL-Boston content integrated with HTML by using the Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 Developer Preview release. The IE 5.5 Developer Preview release includes support for several of the SMIL-Boston modules, including Animation, Timing and Synchronization, and Media Object. This implementation tracks the latest published draft (a few syntax changes that made it into the draft came in too late for our Beta, multiple scheduled begins being the main example). Internet Explorer not only provides a good playback platform, but it also provides a number of services to facilitate the development of authoring applications. We believe that relying on the editing services provided with Internet Explorer as the basis for your SMIL authoring tool should simplify your development cycle and shorten the time to market. We welcome your feedback and suggestions related to this implementation of SMIL-Boston. Please post your feedback and questions to the following newsgroup microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.programming.html+time Also, please feel free to send me mail directly. We will also monitor this list to answer any questions that may come up. The IE 5.5 Developer Preview can be downloaded from <http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/webtechnology/ie/iepreview.asp <http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/webtechnology/ie/iepreview.asp> > You can find documentation on this implementation, as well as examples, at <http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/Author/behaviors/time.asp <http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/Author/behaviors/time.asp> > Pablo Fernicola Web Multimedia Program Manager
