A few comments: Its been many months since I last visited http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-smil/ Many are trying to change the basic HTML language, to fit special interest. Why not one "Simple Standard Compression Method" and tags, to deliver any large Multi-Media data file. <compress> sample.mov </compress> <compress> sample.jpg </compress> <compress> sample.avi </compress> <compress> sample.other </compress> <compress28> <compress56> <compressHIGH> <compressLOW> I point out this very good SMIL example, http://www.empirenet.com/~joseram/dreaming/dreaming.html it takes forever to download this 1.5 meg presentation via 56k. Stay with HTML and <compress the larger files for faster delivery. SMIL_____NOw <com'eths the FLAMES....... Jim Peel aecinc@worldinter.net
