Sausage Releases SMIL SuperTool
Sausage Software has released a beta SMIL Composer SuperTool. The tool can
be used with HotDog Professional or as a stand alone application. The beta
can be downloaded from Sausage's FTP server with the username of "smildemo"
and the password of "sausage."  Bug reports may be sent to
bugs@sausage.com.au with the subject of "SMIL Composer Feedback." For more

Fluid3D from OZ.com
OZ.com has released Fluid3D, streaming 3D support,  for RealPlayer G2. It
is a bit early to see what impact this will have on SMIL authoring, but it
does offer a unique new capability for SMIL presentations.

G2 Objects for Dreamweaver
RealNetworks has posted G2 objects that extend functionality into
Macromedia Dreamweaver 2. Step by step dialogues guide the multimedia
author in incorporating G2 into Web pages. Visit the G2 Objects for

Helio Tutorial
Helio has posted a tutorial for up and coming SMIL authors. The basic
tutorial will walk you through SMIL layout and synchronization. Helio is
also known for their Java-based SMIL player.

New Just SMIL Discussion Forums
The new Just SMIL Discussion Forums are now open. If you are a current
SMILZone user, you will need to re-register with the new site. Please post
new messages only in the new forums but you can access and reply to the old
discussion area until it is turned off in a few weeks.
