Hi all, I'm very new to SMIL and was curious about something. Currently, if someone wants to show a powerpoint slide during a live streaming presentation, the camera has to zoom onto the projection screen. Somehow going from computer to projector to screen to camera to live stream, it loses some of the clarity. Does SMIL allow for a user to "inject" a powerpoint slide (GIF or JPG) into the presentation? How about live updated text? (Kind of like when TV does a "breaking news" stream across a currently broadcasting program.) On a slightly unrelated note, does anyone know if the RealNetworks G2 System will be able to take MPEG video files and encode them? How about the possibilities of encoding them on the fly while streaming them? (Previously encoded files) Please be in touch. Thanks. -- B.K.
