CURIOSITY GETS A VIRUS If you have an insatiable need to stay
up-to-date on the developments surrounding the fallout from the Sept.
11 terrorist attacks, make sure you get your news and information from
reputable sources. Internet security experts are warning email users
about a dangerous new virus that feeds on people's curiosity about the
attacks and their ramifications on world politics, a potential war and
the global economy. This new email virus arrives with a subject line
that reads, "FW: Peace between America and Islam." The body of the
email reads, "Hi, Is it a war against America or Islam. Lets vote for
peace," and comes with an attachment named WTC.exe. The attachment, if
opened, reformats the user's hard drive and select AV files, installs
a Zacker.vbs file and modifies the Internet Explorer startup page. The
virus also sends itself out to everyone in the user's Microsoft
Outlook address book. Security experts advise email users to use
content filters that will block executable attachments and to
