[IEEE ICCI*CC'20:] Invitation for voting the nominated BoG Candidate of IEEE SMC Society

Dear Colleague,

Thanks for IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC) Society’s nomination to be a candidate of Member-at-Large on the Board of Governors (BoG) for the term of January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023. I’d ask for your support in the IEEE SMC Society elections at https://eballot4.votenet.com/IEEE during Nov. 25 to Dec. 23, 2020.

With your kind support, I will dedicate my work to the society for accomplishing our ultimate aims for augmenting human capabilities through SMC. I perceive that SMC are the most complicated entities across the abstract, physical, information, cognitive, brain, knowledge, and social worlds as well as a wide range of scientific and engineering disciplines.

In the era from information to intelligence revolution, our society may foresee a number of unprecedented opportunities: a) To extend systems theories and paradigms from traditional adaptive systems to autonomous/cognitive systems; b) To enable human intelligence and capability to be augmented by autonomous systems; and c) To create brain-inspired cognitive cybernetics for supporting humans and cognitive robots working together in the next generation of cybernetic platform and human-machine symbiotic society.

If elected, I will be fully committed to serve the board and international/multidisciplinary members of the society. I will be able to contribute creative effort for effective and efficient services and interactions with sister societies as well as to promote publications in emerging topics across SMC.

Thank you so much in advance for your support!

Best regards,

Yingxu Wang
