(Apologies for the cross posting) CALL FOR PAPERS The 8th International Conference on Algorithms and Architectures for Parallel Processing (ICA3PP-2008) June 9-11, 2008 Cyprus http://www.cs.ucy.ac.cy/ica3pp08/ (*** Papers due January 7, 2008 ***) Conference Information ---------------------- Following the traditions of the previous successful ICA3PP conferences held in Hangzhou, Brisbane, Singapore, Melbourne, Hong Kong and Beijing, the objective of ICA3PP 2008 is to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia, industry and governments to advance the theories and technologies in parallel and distributed computing. ICA3PP 2008 will be held on the island of Cyprus, with a focus on two broad areas of parallel and distributed computing, i.e., architectures, algorithms and networks, and systems and applications. Topics of interest include, but will not be limited to: * Cluster, Distributed & Parallel Operating Systems and Middleware * Cluster, Grid and Fault-tolerant Computing * Multi-core Programming and Software Tools * Distributed Scheduling & Load Balancing * High-performance Scientific Computing * Parallel Algorithms * Parallel Architectures * Parallel & Distributed Databases * Parallel I/O Systems & Storage Systems * Parallel Programming Paradigms * Performance of Parallel & Distributed Computing Systems * Tools & Environments for Parallel & Distributed Software Development * Web Services Paper Submission Guidelines --------------------------- Authors are invited to submit manuscripts that demonstrate original unpublished research in all areas of parallel and distributed computing. A manuscript should not exceed 12 pages in PDF, including tables and figures. The submitted paper must be camera-ready and formatted according to the rules of LNCS (for formatting information refer to the Springer LNCS web site Information to Authors section, accessible also from the conference web site). The PDF version of your paper must be submitted electronically through the paper submission system on the conference web site http://www.cs.ucy.ac.cy/ica3pp08/ Papers will be reviewed internationally and selected based on their originality, significance, correctness, relevance, and clarity of presentation. The conference proceedings of accepted papers will be published in the Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. Authors of accepted papers, or at least one of them, are requested to register and present their work at the conference, otherwise their papers will be removed from the digital library after the conference. A select number of distinguished papers, after further revisions, will also be invited to submit for publication in special issues of various international journals. Proposals for tutorial sessions are also solicited. Your proposal should include the lecture outline, assumed background of audience, and vitae of the presenter.
