======================================================= Call For Papers Intelligent Web Interaction Workshop 2007 Affiliated with Web Intelligence 2007 (WI'07) 2nd-5th November 2007, Silicon Valley, USA (one-day workshop) Workshop Web site: http://ymd.ex.nii.ac.jp/ws/iwi/07/ WI'07 Web site : http://www.cs.sjsu.edu/wi07/ ======================================================= Various Web systems/services are currently providing a great deal of benefits for users, and Web interaction is becoming especially important both for research and business. Web interaction has been realized through related technologies including interactive information retrieval, intelligent systems, personalization, user interfaces and so on. Web Interaction includes interactions not only between a human and Web systems, but also between humans through Web systems by means of physical actions, communications, speech, or conversations. However, each study and development has been done independently in different fields, which might discourage us from studying Web interaction from unified view of human-system interaction and making Web interaction more intelligent by applying machine learning and soft computing. Hence, at this time, we will hold Intelligent Web Interaction workshop (IWI'07) affiliated with Web Intelligence 2007 (http://www.cs.sjsu.edu/wi07/), to gather a variety of researchers in diverse fields like Web systems, AI, computational intelligence, human-computer interaction and user interfaces. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: - Web interaction - Application of artificial intelligence, soft computing to Web interaction - Physical world interaction - Interaction application - Interaction theory/science - Pattern language - Semantics annotation - Classification - Association rules - Interactive information search/retrieval and interactive query expansion - Personalization, user profiling - Visualization, user interfaces - Accessibility/usability - Web adaptation - Interactive authoring/annotation for semantic Web - Social network, Web communities ----------------- Important Dates ----------------- - Papers submission: 20th June, 2007 - Notification of paper acceptance to authors: 2nd August, 2007 - Camera-ready of accepted papers: 17th August, 2007 - IWI'07 Workshop day: 2nd-5th November, 2007 (one-day workshop) ------------ Submission ------------ IWI'07 will accept ONLY online submissions, containing PDF versions. Paper submissions should be limited to a maximum of 4 pages + 1 extra page in the IEEE two columns format (http://www.computer.org/portal/pages/ieeecs/publications), and will be reviewed by the Program Committee on the basis of technical quality, relevance to intelligent Web interaction, originality, significance, and clarity. Please use online paper submission system at the WI'07 Web site (http://www.cs.sjsu.edu/wi07/wi/?index=workshop) to submit your papers. ------------ Organizers ------------ - Seiji YAMADA (National Institute of Informatics, Japan) - Tsuyoshi MURATA (Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan) - Erich ORTNER (Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany) - Joachim STERNHUBER (Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany) - Vaclav SNASEL (VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic) -------------------------------- Program Committee -------------------------------- - Takashi ONODA (Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry, Japan) - Yasufumi TAKAMA (Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan) - Ulrich FRANK (University Duisburg-Essen, Germany) - Stefan JABLONSKI (University Bayreuth, Germany) - Wolfgang LEHNER (Technical University Dresden, Germany) - Andy DEARDEN (Sheffield Hallam University, UK) - Jaroslav POKORNY (Charles University, Czech Republic) - Athena VAKALI (Aristotle University, Greece) - Kok Wai WONG (Murdoch University, Australia) - Ichiro KOBAYASHI (Ochanomizu University, Japan) - Jinlin CHEN (Queens College, USA) - Yasuhiko KITAMURA (Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan) For inquiries, please contact Seiji YAMADA (seiji[at]nii.ac.jp) and Tsuyoshi MURATA (murata[at]cs.titech.ac.jp). -----
