[Apologies for multiple postings] *********************************************************************************** 6th REASONING WEB Summer School (RW 2010) "Semantic Technologies for Software Engineering" http://www.reasoningweb.org/2010/ *********************************************************************************** August 30 - September 3, 2010 Dresden, Germany The "Reasoning Web" series of annual Summer Schools was started in 2005 by the Network of Excellence REWERSE. This edition will focus on the use of "Semantic technologies for software engineering". Courses will present a range of techniques and formalisms which bridge semantic-based and software engineering tools. The tutorials will also be published in a tutorial volume of "Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS)", published by Springer. COURSES: 1. Dr. Anni-Yasmin Turhan, Technische Universität Dresden: Reasoning in EL and in Description Logics in general 2. Prof. Wlodek Drabent, University of Warsaw: Hybrid reasoning with rules and ontologies 3. Prof. Jeff Pan, Aberdeen University: Scalable DL reasoning 4. Prof. Steffen Staab, Universität Koblenz: Semantic Model-Driven Engineering 5. Prof. Michael Schroeder, Technische Universität Dresden: Semantic search engines 6. Krzystof Miksa, Comarch, Krakow: Combining ontologies with domain specific languages: a case study from network configuration software 7. N.N., SAP Research Dresden: Semantic service engineering in the TEXO and Aletheia projects 8. Prof. Jürgen Ebert, Hannes Schwarz, Universität Koblenz: Bridging Query Languages in Semantic and Graph Technologies 9. Dr. Andreas Friesen, Dr. Jens Lemcke, SAP Research Karlsruhe: Semantic business process engineering REGISTRATION The registration fee depends on the date of your application and registration. There will be two phases: Early bird: Application Deadline - May 16 Notifications of Acceptance - May 30 Registration Deadline - June 30 Registration Fee - 420 EUR Late bird: Application Deadline - June 20 Notifications of Acceptance - June 30 Registration Deadline - July 10 Registration Fee - 470 EUR COVERED: - Summer school fee, including all lunches - Reception - Dinner at an historic style restaurant Sophienkeller in Dresden - Excursion by boat on the Elbe river to Pillnitz castel - LNCS volume APPLICATION: The number of participants of the summer school is limited. Participation depends on prior application and a reviewing process. The applications (2-page position papers) have to be submitted by May 16, 2010 or June 20, 2010 according to the instructions on http://reasoningweb.org/2010/ApplicationRegistration.html Applications shall be submitted via EasyChair and then reviewed.
