PLEASE ACCEPT OUR APOLOGIES FOR MULTIPLE COPIES CALL FOR PAPERS ICCCN 2007: 16TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COMPUTER COMMUNICATIONS AND NETWORKS http://sa1.sice.umkc.edu/icccn2007 August 13 - 16, 2007 Turtle Bay Resort, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Sponsors: Technical Co-Sponsorship by IEEE TCCC and Nokia (all pending approval) Broadband Wireless Access Symposium Recently, wireless communications and networking have developed to the point where broadband wireless access is one of the hottest areas of research, development and deployment in telecommunications. The early cellular systems were narrowband systems focused mainly on voice and low-rate data. Today, 3G systems support broadband, high data rates, high mobility, and many applications beyond voice. Furthermore, data communications are going beyond the initial wireless LAN systems with modest data rates, to a variety of broadband data network options, including WiMAX (IEEE 802.16) and related systems. There are a variety of approaches to broadband wireless access, most of which could co-exist as alternatives for accessing the future converged all-IP core networks. The symposium focuses on recent advances in broadband wireless access. We solicit original and unpublished research achievements in various aspects of broadband wireless access, including, but not limited to, the following topics: * Broadband wireless LAN * WiMAX and related systems * Broadband mesh networks * CDMA, TDMA, OFDM, air interfaces * UWB communications and networking * Network infrastructure supporting broadband wireless access * Network protocols * MAC protocols for broadband wireless access * Smart Antennas * MIMO systems * Adaptive modulation * 4G Mobile Network Architectures * OFDMA and other multiple access technologies for broadband wireless * Multiuser systems, multiuser detection * Single-carrier, multi-carrier, and multi-rate systems * Interference Avoidance * Cross-layer design for broadband wireless * System capacity and performance analysis * Broadband channel measurements * Spread-spectrum for broadband wireless * Multi-rate communications Submission of Manuscripts: Please follow the general submission requirements of ICCCN07. Important dates: Paper submission: March 1, 2007 Notification of acceptance: May 11, 2007 Camera ready papers due: June 1, 2007 Symposium Co-Chairs: K.
