Dear all, I would like to share with you an update for the latest activities of the AIS SIGSEMIS ( <http://www.sigsemis.org/> http://www.sigsemis.org). Please consider my invitation to join these events/activities and to promote further the SW vision in interesting contexts. I am more than happy for several of our achievements in this 1,5 years but the most critical challenge is to promote the COMMUNITY and to increase its visibility and power in significant decision making contexts. 1) For your Full Research Papers consider IJ on Semantic Web and Information Systems, Editor in Chief: Prof. Amit Sheth). Find more info at: <http://www.idea-group.com/ijswis> http://www.idea-group.com/ijswis. A special subscription rate of 55$ has been agreed with the publishers. Please contact me if you plan future submissions with extended abstracts to provide you feedback and guidance for the best preparation and alignment to our publication strategy. 2) AIS SIGSEMIS Bulletin Vol 2. Issue 3, is going to be published on 30th October. Please feel free to send me anything you would like to communicate concerning your activities, CFPs, special issues, short articles, PhD students short bios, etc. I would be happy to get involved in our bulletin. For sure you can undertake one regular column. Feel free to download the latest issue at <http://www.sigsemis.org/newsletter/july2005/vol2_issue2.pdf> http://www.sigsemis.org/newsletter/july2005/vol2_issue2.pdf 3). I would be happy to have one submission from you for our virtual conference, MTSR'05 <http://www.metadata-semantics.org/> http://www.metadata-semantics.org. It sound quite strange but believe me it would be a GREAT SUCCESS. We are very happy that: (*) Already 4 special issues for the papers of the conference have been agreed (=50 papers will be published in Journals) (*) Conference Post proceedings (that permit the highest possible visibility and dissemination) will be published in Rinton Press (one publishing company that makes everything for JCR inclusion of its publications). this is the only cost that you will bear - the cost of the book of proceedings!!! (*) all the papers will be available online and OPEN access for all during the conference days and afterwards. 4) We are happy that we undertook for the second time the SW and IS track in 14th European Conference on Information Systems, in Goteborg, Sweden <http://www.ecis2006.se/02_conferencetracks/semwebis.html> http://www.ecis2006.se/02_conferencetracks/semwebis.html while three more tracks will be approved shortly for the AMCIS 2006, Americas Conference on IS in Acapulco Mexico, <http://amcis2006.aisnet.org/> http://amcis2006.aisnet.org/ (Semantic Ebusiness, Social Intelligence and SW and SW and IS) 5) We are preparing for a great piece of news. Keep in touch !!! Best Miltiadis Dr. Miltiadis D. Lytras
