In an attempt to contact all interested parties, I've been advised to post to this mailing list as well as the rdfweb-dev list. Apologies if anyone gets it twice. In an attempt to spur continued discussion on FOAF and RDF related topics after the two recent gatherings (FOAFcamp and FOAF Galway conference), I'm hoping to create a weekly discussion on a FOAF-related topic, similar to the ScheduledTopicChats [1] which used to take place. To this end, I've created a page on the FOAF wiki[2] with the intention of gathering preferred topics and possible participants. If you have an interest in participating, you can add yourself under a topic as well as adding your name to the list at the bottom of the page. The chat will be held (if people decide to participate) at 1100 EDT/1500 GMT on September 8th. The chat will be held in #rdfig on irc.freenode.net . A web interface has been set up at http://crschmidt.net/cgiirc/irc.cgi which will join this channel directly, for those not comfortable with IRC. The agenda I had in mind would be something along the lines of the following (times in Eastern because that's what I'm thinking in): 11:00AM Call to Order, inform other people meeting is starting Introductions: Name, Rank, Serial Number 11:05AM Topic introduction, linking to relevant resources to get everyone involved on the same page 11:15AM Discussion: What people would like to see, what's needed, what's missing, what's okay but needs more work, general topic chatter 11:40AM Wrap up - move important/relevant links to wiki, add participants list. Define goals - what do people want to see, what needs to be done, "Action Items", also added to wiki 11:50AM Discussion of next meeting topic If you aren't so good at translating times, the meeting time in your locale is available via the World Time Clock[3]. At 1600GMT tomorrow, Sept 5th, I will choose a topic based on the current responses, so that people interested in a certain topic can get together any resources they want to share. If you are interested in attending, please edit the wiki page appropriately.
