About a year ago I looked around for an ontology for describing "real world" URLs to enable one to make more precise assertions about their contents. Couldn't find one, so I took a stab at one: http://rx4rdf.liminalzone.org/archive-schema.rdf Its used by Rhizome, my RDF-based CMS.
