* APOLOGIES IF YOU RECEIVE THIS MESSAGE MORE THAN ONCE * :: Final Reminder :: Call for Demos at The International Semantic Web Conference Hiroshima, Japan, November 7-11, 2004 http://iswc2004.semanticweb.org/ ================================================ SUBMISSION DEADLINE: August 31st, 2004 ================================================ The ISWC 2004 Program Committee invites proposals for the Demonstrations Program. This program is intended to showcase innovative Semantic Web related implementations and technologies. Submissions will be evaluated on the basis of their innovation, relevance, scientific contribution, reusability, and presentation, by an international committee. Selected demos will be published as a demonstration paper with the Journal of Web Semantics. Commercial sales and marketing activities are not appropriate in the Demonstration program - please look at the industrial exhibition for these proposals. The demo program is organized in cooperation with the Semantic Web Challenge (see http://challenge.semanticweb.org). While the challenge is focused on a particular theme, the demo session is looking for a wider range of contributions. Please submit only to the challenge or to the demo program. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Areas of Interest We would like to encourage the submission of proposals for demonstrations of software related to any areas of the Semantic Web. Areas of interest related to Semantic Web technology include, but are not limited to: * Social Software and Portals * Semantic Desktop Systems and Tools * P2P systems * Annotation tools * Novel query and browsing interfaces * Data visualization * Ontology development environments * Ontology libraries and management systems * Tools for merging, integrating or articulating ontologies * Tools for merging, integrating or articulating instance data * Reusable components and APIs for RDF, DAML+OIL, OWL, etc. * Repositories and inference systems * Applications * Agent systems embedded in the Semantic Web * Systems that identify and compose web services ---------------------------------------------------------------- Submissions Format and Procedure Submissions, not to exceed 4 pages, should be submitted in electronic form (PDF --- preferred, HTML, Postscript, Word, or ASCII) to the Demonstrations Chair (see below). The abstract should describe the technical content to be demonstrated as well as the architecture and the availability of the software and should also include including title, authors, full contact information, and references.
