Richard, MKE is being scheduled by your icon VM; not by Windows. It's not uncommon for vm-based runtimes to have performance disparities when ported across platforms, especially when they are ported across platforms that handle threading and synchronization differently. The unicon guys probably have lots of advice about what you can do with your code to make it work better with a particular implementation/platform of the icon vm. -----Original Message----- From: www-rdf-interest-request@w3.org [mailto:www-rdf-interest-request@w3.org] On Behalf Of Richard H. I discovered that Windows XP Pro task manager makes MKE sit idle for minutes at a time, and then runs it for less than a minute, before repeating the cycle. Thus MKE appears to have crashed, but in reality is only suffering from poor WinXP task scheduling. Dick McCullough knowledge := man do identify od existent done; knowledge haspart proposition list;
