Hi Folks,
I hope its not too late to wish everyone a happy new year.
RDFCore has had its first telecon of the year and this is a brief summary:
Issue rdfms-qname-uri-mapping
http://www.w3.org/2000/03/rdf-tracking/#rdfms-qname-uri-mapping
is a proposal to change the way that RDF maps qnames to uri's. The WG has
decided not to change this algorithm, on the grounds:
o this would change the meaning of a lot of existing RDF
o existing and revised implementations would produce different
graphs
o existing code may generate illegal graphs for some rdf/xml.
Issue rdfms-reification-required
http://www.w3.org/2000/03/rdf-tracking/#rdfms-reification-required
This was one raised by Stefan Kokkelink asking whether an RDF parser was
required to always output bags for reified statements for every
rdf:Description element. The WG decided the answer is NO.
Issue rdfms-replace-value
http://www.w3.org/2000/03/rdf-tracking/#rdfms-replace-value
The suggestion here was to rename rdf:value as rdf:toString. The WG
decided that the real issue is to clarify the semantics of
rdf:value. There will be no change to the name (for now). The WG will try
to clarify the meaning.
Brian
