RDF Schema for describing file sets

I am developing a system to generate metadata about a file set found on 
any digital medium. I was wondering if anyone has seen an RDF schema for 
describing file sets. It seems like the Dublin Core will be useful, 
however I will have to extend that functionality to deal with 
descriptions that are more specific to certain file types.

Some examples are email, spreadsheets, word docs, etc. Examples of 
attributes that are important about email include recipients, senders, 
routing information, isReply, etc.

Has anyone seen a schema that can be applied to this type of metadata?
