Here I'd like to discuss the current need to install a variant of DSpace that includes persistent Jena/Joseki.  I suspect the most straightforward path is to continue with our plans to use one of the DSpace servers (we were targeting hpds3, I believe?) as a SIMILE host, and deploy Jason Kinner's recent updates to DSpace which include such a metadata store.

This is a pre-requisite for work that those on David's team wish to undertake regarding visualization of DSpace Item Metadata, History System Data, or both, in Haystack.
