RDF already allows you to identify statements in the serialization through rdf:ID. This is compact in the serialization. It does translate into reification in the data model but implementations can, and in some cases do, store such reifications efficiently. Non-standard extensions would be best avoided if you want SIMILE to be a full participant in the semantic web. Dave
