RE: ungetable http URIs

Hi team,

We still don't seem to have reached consensus on getable / ungetable URIs.

However, with help from Andy, I have made some minor changes to the Artstor
corpus in RDF/XML which I think should overcome the issue that started this
thread. The revised version of the corpus is available at
https://simile.ipssources.com/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=12081

In this version, all the URLs used for *metadata* now point to these URLs
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/collection#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/creator#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/format#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/geographic#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/id#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/image_id#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/largerEntity#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/material#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/mediafile#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/mediafileformat#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/object_id#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/recordType#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/resolution#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/series#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/site#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/source#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/subject#
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/topic#

For example
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/id#UCSD_41822000041820
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/resolution#0
http://web.mit.edu/simile/www/metadata/artstor/creator#Aalto,_Alvar,1898-197
6
etc

and I have put HTML pages at each of the URLs saying that this namespace is
used by the SIMILE project for a controlled list of creators etc.

Note there are still some ungetable URLs in the data e.g.
http://204.153.51.101/imgstor/fpx/ucsd/d3693/41822000041820.fpx
because these URLs are pointing at Artstor and Artstor is not serving the
data. However, there are clearly resources associated with these URLs, its
just we can't retrieve them at present.

Is this an acceptable solution?

thanks, best regards
