This is probably not very pertinent to this maillist and I think you'd get more responses from comp.databases.*, but I would say that it is absolutely necessary for your app-developer, database admin, and sys admin to all be well versed in each other's topics and to be able to work closely together for the type of work we do. Why? Because WWW-RDB interfaces demand the cooperation of all three parties or they will become security and performance nightmares. Good luck justifying your next class, John groenvel@cse.psu.edu
