FYI, I've recently begun BETA testing a new product called "SQLweb" that interfaces Web pages to an Oracle database without the need for Perl or C programming! The "SQLweb Interactive Server" is a generic SQL interface that "sits" between the HTTPD server (via CGI) and an Oracle Database. It processes any SQL statement and incorporates its output directly into the HTML stream. SQL statements can be used to populate "SELECT/OPTION" lists, fill in FORMS, build ANCHORS ("<A HREF=...> )", or POPULATE ANY VALID HTML TAG. Authoring these Dynamic "SQLweb Pages" is easy with the SQLweb Page Builder. The "SQLweb Page Builder" allows an author to specify the "HTML stream" quickly and easily with "pick-lists" for TAGS, TAG-ATTRIBUTES and even valid ATTRIBUTE-VALUES (where applicable). The SQLweb database interface provides the "SQLweb author" with a powerful yet easy-to-use tool for incorporating: 1) output from the database into the HTML stream, and 2) input into the database from an HTML FORM or the HTTPD Server The SQLweb Products are currently in BETA testing and are scheduled for General Availability August 1 1995. SQLweb questions are currently being fielded by: sqlweb@cst.com ---A-I-T--------------------------------- Applied Information Technologies, Inc. Steve A.
