Your advice sounds reasonable. However can I assume I can do nothing about it if my site is hosted with an ISP rather than locally. I know that they (Demon UK) use Apache and are unreceptive to requests for any special configuration. On the other hand, the system is flexible enough to run CGI Perl scripts and can make use of htaccess files. Is there any thing I could try, or do I stick with 'refresh' when I need to move a URL that I don't want to break. TIA Steve Mullock -- Dr. S.J.
