Hello, As instructed by the Call for Participation: Workshop on Quality Assurance at W3C, I am sending this statement of interest. My name is Chris Kirk and I am with Virtual Summit Inc. I am looking to attend the workshop on behalf of Virtual Summit. My position paper will be ready by March 9th and a brief abstract follows: Virtual Summit produces a testing and diagnostic tool for XML. Initially we have been focused on providing support for the Internet Protocol Detail Record (www.ipdr.org) initiative. During our work, we have identified what we believe to be a parallel set of needs forming for the testing and verification of XML-based interfaces such as: IP usage-based billing and mediation, enterprise information portals, enterprise access portals, eCommerce and others. We feel the solution to this set of needs is a common XML Test Framework which can encompass not only XML parsing and format but also be capable of handling all XML-based interface requirements from transport (http, SOAP, etc.) through verification of an Application State Space.Virtual Summit has a number of suggestions on how this XML Test Framework might be structured. If I can be of further assistance or clarification, please feel free to telephone me at 972-727-6419x101 or email at chris.kirk@virtualsummit.com. Thanks Chris Kirk Virtual Summit Inc. www.virtualsummit.com
