Round around the table to present participants
Presentation of the [QA WG] by [DHM]

* [QA Wiki]

[DHM] is presenting the [QA Wiki] and is making a demo of it,
explaining the different syntax conventions, the social nature of it,
the advantages which belong to wikis.

[DHM]: The wiki is trying to foster more participation of many people
outside or inside of the W3C. It might be a good idea to use it for the
[QA WG] too.
[PC]: If I don't want to use the special markup, can I? If I want to
use HTML.
[DHM]: Not really. You have to use the specific simple markup.
[KD]: Don't be afraid to edit the pages. Don't be afraid to rewrite
other people's content (you can still save the old page in another
place).
[LH]: Looking at the topic of RFC Keywords, I was afraid to start
another argument in another place about the use of it.
[DHM]: As long as you are not aggressive or anything, you can add
things to the wiki. It's really meant to be a collaborative tool.
[LR]: I liked it because I didn't have to know anything to use it.

[MB] Can you address particular issues about Testing issues?
[DHM] It can be anything you want. So yes you can use it to solve some
issues.
[CN]is proposing to the attendants to share his experience of wikis
inside Ilog for 3 years as a Team tool.
[KD]is presenting as a tool to interact between Mailing-lists and
wikis, like [Pompeurs ML] and [Pompeurs Wiki]
[PC][MB] We can announce it on our different places.

* in-reach/out-reach

An insight about in and out-reach topics in [W3C QA] is given by [OT].
[WASP] has been the main topic addressed for the last few months. A
plan is made to revive the [public-evangelist] list.

[OT] has been quite dormant these past months, except for the [WASP]
Project. They have a strong Web designers perspective. They ask a
question and we are producing an article to help people to understand
the topic on a very basic level. The articles have either a good
reception in the community or sometimes a “Troll Fest”. [KD] has tried
to revive the [public-evangelist].
[KD] is reading things on the Web and public-evangelist might be a good
way to share it and so create discussions on the mailing-list
	* to inform people of the [public-evangelist] on what's happening on
the Web
	* to inform people of the [QA WG] of concerns of people with regard to
the specs.
(Moved discussion about wikis on the previous topic)

* WWW2004 Panel

A panel is organized for the WWW2004 conference on the interests of Web
Standards.

[DHM] is presenting the panel. It will be a discussion about the good
and bad side of standards or discussions. Something to say?
[MS] On the mailing list there was a discussion about making it
controversial, and what were the strategies for that?
[LH] we are not in control on that panel. David Marston is the one who
is managing the information.

* Workshop in NY.

The Workshop will not happen in May 2004 but the idea and the (virtual)
organization are not abandoned for future happening.

[OT][KD] have tried to organize a workshop at the same time than the
[WWW 2004] Conference. We didn't push further because of lack of time
and lack of resources, but we didn't dump the idea. We are keeping the
idea to organize this workshop, because the conference could be a very
good opportunity to create proceedings. We will push further the idea
to have a package ready to use.
[LR] It will be a good idea to not have only best practices but also
worse practices.
[LH] When do we decide to organize it?
[OT] Not in May 2004 for sure, but maybe later on.

* Other IG topics.

[OT] We have reached a stabilized way of working. We have found a kind
of equilibrium. We should maybe advertised it a bit more.
[LR] agrees.
[LH] What are the topics addressed by the IG.
[KD] It's not very visible outside, but we have a lot of liaisons work,
and also help or answering to private mail questions.
[OT] It's not a strongly defined entity, but more small pieces
interconnected. But we have things like the validators, and other
topics are done by small Task Forces.

* Special topics about [Testing Practices] Questionnaire

[LH] Should we answer ourselves to the [Testing Practices]
questionnaire?
[LR][DHM] Not necessary
[MS] agrees with [LH]
