QAWG -- A heads-up about the Editor's draft OpsGL that was just posted [2]. Two items. Item 1.) ----- Lynne was kind enough to do a careful review in the last few days. My attempts implement our issues resolutions and to clarify CP4.5, "..framework for test materials development..", apparently weren't good enough. Lynne was still confused about it vis a' vis some of the stuff in Guideline 5. In discussion, it finally occurred to us. It was so difficult to clarify because it belonged in GL5. We both agreed that it was pretty futile to try to fix it where it was. Therefore we moved it to become the first CP of GL5 (which bumps the numbers of each of the existing CP5.x by 1). The lc-issues [3] and the DoC [1] reflect the change. The GL-order checklist [4] gives a good high-level perspective of the change, without the cluttering details of the full text. Please consider this change and object if you think it should be reversed. Recall we resolved to not re-arrange GL and CP unless we thought something was broken. Lynne & I considered that to be the case here. Item 2.) ----- As we were looking at it, we also thought that the old CP5.1 ("user documentation for TM", now CP5.2 in [2]) would fit much better at the beginning of GL6 (which is about "publish test materials"). However, the case here is not compelling, as it was for CP4.5. So that change has not been made. If there were QAWG consensus, it would take about an hour on Monday to update all of [1] - [4], before the DoC is shipped. Regards, Lofton.
